Your Questions About Lost Blogs

Sandy asks…
Why is text formatting lost in blogs ?
Well, I am facing a really irritating problem with posting on blogs at WordPress. When I copy text from MS Word and paste it in the blog editor, all formatting is lost after saving the post and the whole text appears in one single paragraph !
I tried things that I knew, but no good. Could somebody help ?

Peter answers:
You have to reformat your text; if you use WYSIWYG formatting in WP, then simply format the text to match the copy source (your Word document), or even easier – type it and format it all manually without copying.
If you are using tags (BBC, HTML), then reapply those tags and preview before submit.

David asks…
How does one begin making their way in journalism without getting lost in the thick biosphere of blogs?
I am thinking about making my way into journalism, but I need creative ideas and ways of breaking in. To me the blogosphere is just a way to get lost in the crowd. Any ideas or tips?

Peter answers:
Start with one of the established media outlets, in newspaper, radio, or television, and offer to work as an intern. You’ll learn a lot and gain a great deal of experience.

Susan asks…
Is there any way to retrieve pictures lost on yahoo 360 blogs?

Peter answers:
No. We were given the opportunity to ‘migrate’ our blogs from 360 back when the change was first set up. If you did not do it then, they are now gone.

John asks…
on yahoo 360 – lost 2 blogs?
once i hit PREVIEW,
, THE BLOG WAS LOST FOREVER..
.is there any way to retrieve them?
this is the 2nd time i have lost a 500 word blog…

Peter answers:
Experienced the same problems as you did, it was very frustrating. The draft just got lost into cyberspace !
Therefore, as a precaution for posting on Yahoo 360, I now write it on an editor (e.g. Email or word processing) and then copy and paste into Yahoo 360. Its a real pain.
Alternatively, put your blog somewhere else like wordpress or blogger and you can still copy and paste into Yahoo 360.
